چکیده
The summer season raindrop size distribution (DSD) characteristics and their important applications, based on a PARSIVEL2 disdrometer installed in Zhaosu over the western Tianshan Mountains, China, 2020–2021 are studied. Our analysis reveals that, for total rainfall different types, DSD follows normalized gamma model, convective has higher concentration than stratiform at all diameters. For rainfall, mean value of mass-weighted diameter (Dm) is lower that DSD, while intercept parameter (log10 Nw) continental according to conventional classification, which characterized by relatively larger Dm log10 Nw values. derived µ–? relation exhibits some differences from those reported eastern, southern, northern China Tibetan Plateau. Furthermore, Z–R relations compared with other regions. Analysis shows empirical Z = 300R1.4 (widely used), strongly overestimates R precipitation Zhaosu. C-band polarimetric radar estimation derived, R(Zh,Zdr) R(Kdp,Zdr) perform best quantitative estimation. Moreover, Dm–Zku Dm–Zka beneficial improvement retrieval algorithms GPM DPR. Lastly, kinetic energy proposed this study can be used better assess erosivity. relationships evaluated provide an opportunity (1) improve both ground-based remote sensing radars (2) enhance estimates erosivity studies

Statistical Analysis of the Raindrop Size Distribution Using Disdrometer Data
The present study utilizes nine years of measurements taken from a Joss–Waldvogel disdrometer (JWD). From this dataset, thirty six rainfall events, were selected and categorized, respectively, in convective and stratiform types, according to specific criteria. Six statistical distributions namely the oneand two-parameter exponential, the twoand three-parameter lognormal and finally the twoand t...
متن کامل10b.3 Diagnosing the Intercept Parameter for Exponential Raindrop Size Distribution Based on Video Disdrometer Observations
Information about the drop size distribution (DSD) is essential for understanding precipitation physics, estimating rainfall, and improving microphysics parameterizations in numerical weather prediction (NWP) models (Steiner et al. 2004). The characteristics of rain DSDs are often associated with the types of storms (e.g., convective versus stratiform rain) and their stages of development (e.g....
متن کاملDiagnosing the Intercept Parameter for Exponential Raindrop Size Distribution Based on Video Disdrometer Observations: Model Development
The exponential distribution N(D) N0 exp( D) with a fixed intercept parameter N0 is most commonly used to represent raindrop size distribution (DSD) in rainfall estimation and in single-moment bulk microphysics parameterization schemes. Disdrometer observations show that the intercept parameter is far from constant and systematically depends on the rain type and intensity. In this study, a diag...

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...
